With only a few days left to get your personalised orders in for this Christmas we thought it was the perfect time to go over what a monogram is and why you should have your kit personalised...
Since When? Originating back in 350BC a monogram was a motif made by overlapping or combining two or more letters or other graphemes to form one symbol. Monograms are often made by combining the initials of an individual or a company, used as recognizable symbols or logos. In todays day and age the monogram has been simplified and instead of overlapping and creating a graphic it is simply your initals with or without punctuation. Why use it? A monogram is a classic and personal touch traditionally used on items of importance or significance. Just like a royal seal it denotes importance and implies sophistication, as having something personalised incurs extra expense and is always worth the wait. When? If your giving a gift and you want to show that person just how important they are to you then this is that extra step. It could be for any occasion birthday, fathers day, mothers day, congratulations for retirement or landing the dream job. Monograms are on goods carried by important people, so if you want that special someone to feel they are at the top of your list then monogrammed goods are the way to do it. Now more than ever it's easy to add a monogram to any Hammered Leatherworks goods. You simply select--> Yes please and type the initials and WHIZ BANG POP a custom piece will be on its way to you.
